Meet the Doctor
If this is your first child, or if you are changing doctors, consider making an appointment with one of our healthcare providers prior to the birth of your child. These visits are free of charge and allow you to meet the doctor or nurse practitioner, get answers to your questions, and tour the office. You may also pick up pre-registration materials for the hospital during your visit.
Take a Class at the Hospital
There are a variety of classes offered at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital to help you gain insight into the incredible adventure you and your family are about to begin.

Childbirth Education Course
This course takes place either over 6 weeks (one 2-hour class a week for six weeks) or over one weekend (two 6-hour days) and is used to discuss a variety of topics related to labor and delivery, immediate newborn care, and the care of your newborn at home. The registration fee is $50.
Tour the Hospital
Approximately once a week, the hospital offers a tour which you are welcome to attend. You will visit the birthing rooms, nursery, and postpartum rooms at the hospital to get a better sense of what to expect during your stay with your newborn. You will also be shown how to correctly install your newborn’s car seat.
What about Me?! Sibling Class
The birth of a new sibling can often be an intense time for a child as well as for the parents. This course teaches you how to prepare your child for the birth of a new sibling. It is intended for children aged 3 to 7 years old.
Infant and Child CPR
This 3-hour course is a wonderful course for any parent. The class follows the American Heart Association guidelines. There is a $25 registration fee.
